Kentmere Black & White papers
Kentmere has doubled its production capacity during 2005 and is committed long-term to traditional black and white photographic products, supplied both in cut sheet and bulk reel format. Specialist sizes can be easily accommodated.

Kentmere celebrates 100 years in business in 2006 and is proud to be considered to be one of the world’s leading black and white specialists, backed with full ISO 9002 accreditation. The business is privately owned, profitable and financially stable.

Kentmere has maintained a comprehensive range of variable contrast and fixed grade papers suitable for the identification market – probably the greatest choice available on the market.

The range includes resin-coated papers, traditional baryta (fibre) based papers and specialist art papers for the creative printmaker.

Kentmere is fiercely proud of its global reputation for quality and consistency backed by flexible production at our factory in the UK and speedy and efficient service.
Products include
Kenthene – Traditional fixed grade resin coated B&W paper. It is available from stock in Grades 1, 2 & 3, Glossy and Fine Lustre surfaces. Additional grades can be custom-coated e.g. Gd. 0 for map making and Gd. 4 for line work. Note: Kentmere fixed-grade scale is approximately +2/3 of a grade harder than equivalent Ilford grades.

VC Select – Variable grade RC paper, available in Glossy and Fine Lustre surfaces. VC Select is approximately one stop faster than competitors' papers - a significant saving in production time when making enlargements or print runs. VC Select also tones more reliably than some other papers on the market.

Fineprint – Variable grade, double weight, fibre base paper, available in Glossy, Finegrain and Warmtone finishes. Fineprint responds well to toning.

Kentona – A glossy, double weight, fibre base paper, suitable for similar art applications. It has a white, glossy unglazed surface and responds more consistently to lith developer.

Bromide –

Double weight, fibre base paper, coated with a traditional "silver rich" fixed grade (Gd.2) emulsion. Recommended for experienced printers wishing to create the look of papers from the old days.
